The Shanghai International Merchandising Center (IMC)
is a cooperative project between the CCPIT
affiliated IMC
organization and the ShanghaiMart with the enthusiastic support
of the Shanghai Municipal Government. The IMC
will service multinational corporations interested in entering
Shanghai and China markets by providing quality suppliers,
products and related services. IMC
will also assist in identifying and introducing international
markets and clients to domestic suppliers to expand export
business opportunities.
One-Stop-Services
In an effort to simplify the often complicated procedures
that accompany international trading, the ShanghaiMart and
IMC have launched a series of one-stop services. Both government
and business related servicing will provide both buyers and
suppliers with more efficient procedures to conduct trade.
Government affairs issues- Assistance in applying for import
and export licenses, identifying agents to industrial enterprises,
taxation issues, commodity inspection and more.
IMC has access to
beneficial government policy arrangements to facilitate trade.
Business/commercial logistics services such as post office,
banking, travel arrangements, freight forwarding and courier
services.
IMC
integrates the physical operations that facilitate trade within
ShanghaiMart with a web-based Internet application that was
designed to assist buyers in searching and sourcing thousands
of manufacturers in China within a multitude of product categories.
This integration of information online and the support of
the IMC within to
assist buyers and sellers year round is a service unique only
to the ShanghaiMart.
IMC
will develop and produce a series of events like ˇ°International
Sourcing Conferenceˇ±and seminars throughout the year to help
clarify the business of international trade and will serve
buyers from around the world to better understand the resources
of China and how to engage in the procurement of these products.
